About the Opportunity
Monash Health’s General Stream offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain experience in multiple Medical, Speciality, Surgical and Emergency Medicine Units. This is a great opportunity to either try different fields of medicine, or zoom in on areas you already have strong interest in.

About the role
As a Hospital Medical Officer (HMO) in the General Stream, you will deliver high-quality care across Monash Health’s metropolitan hospitals. You will rotate through a variety of medical and surgical units, gaining broad clinical experience while participating in after-hours, weekend, and on-call rosters.
Working under the supervision of senior clinicians, you will contribute to patient care, clinical handovers, and multidisciplinary teamwork, with opportunities to support and teach junior staff.
About You
What you need:
- Primary Medical Degree - MBBS
- Previous experience and completion of Internship
- Current Drivers Licence
- Australian working rights
- Hold General, Limited or Provisional AHPRA Medical Registration
- Applicants must meet a minimum AHPRA Supervision Level of 2
- Victorian Employee Working with Children's Check
