About the role
Obstetrics & Gynaecology HMO 12-month position
This role is specifically designed to prepare you for your successful RANZCOG application. It is a strategically designed position that will enhance your competitive advantage nationally for your future career as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Your rotations across all sites serviced by Monash Women’s and Newborn will be tailored to your prior O&G experience and learning needs.
As part of our commitment to your college application, you will be offered mentoring and support as well as interview practice and preparation. This position is suited to a PGY3 and above.
Please note a Certificate of Women's Health (CWH) is achievable in this 12-month appointment.
These positions begin on the Monday 1st February 2027 to 6th February 2028 for 12 months.
Obstetrics & Gynaecology HMO 6-month position
The 6-month Obstetrics & Gynaecology HMO position involves a six-month training program tailored for those undertaking a Certificate of Women's Health (CWH) as part of the Prevocational Pathway for RANZCOG.
Please refer to the RANZCOG website for more information on how to apply for a Certificate of Women's Health (CWH).
This 6-month position will be partnered with a 6-month HMO general post (for which you will need to apply to the HMO General advertisement).
These positions begin on Monday 1st February 2027 or Monday 1st August 2027 for 6 months.
Please review the FAQ’s and follow the instructions if you are applying as a PGY2. Due to the changes to the National Framework offers to PGY2 will be for 12 months only.

Primary medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent
