About the Role
The Medical Physics Administration Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Physicist, Radiation Safety Officer, and the Medical Physics team.
- Assisting with scheduling, compliance tracking, document preparation, and reporting to support the department's operational, research, and governance activities.
- Coordinating Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
- Managing team correspondence, including maintaining the general inbox and directing queries appropriately.
- Assisting with finance administration, including processing billing for external testing, ethics-related activities, and other consultancy work.
- Supporting education and training activities, including CPD session coordination, document formatting, and assisting with research-related administrative tasks.
- Facilitating interdepartmental communication to support the efficient operation of the Medical Physics team.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
This role is Part Time - Fixed (for 12 months), working 3 days a week.
About You
You are a proactive and experienced administrator with a keen interest in supporting technical and clinical teams within a dynamic healthcare environment. You have strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Your attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills make you a valuable team player. To ensure your success in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge:
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare, research, or technical environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- A professional and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in administrative tasks.
- Ability to work proactively and independently and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
