Administrative Assistant, Pathway To Good Health (PTGH) - EFT 0.2 for a period of two years from date of commencement  

There is an exciting opportunity for a proficient Administrative Assistant to be part of the Victorian Government’s Pathway To Good Health initiative, providing health assessment and care management plans for children entering statutory care settings.  

 

About the Monash Health Developmental and Community Paediatric Unit 

The Developmental and Community Paediatrics Unit within the Monash Children’s Hospital provides outpatient multidisciplinary assessment of children with complex developmental and behavioural presentations onsite at Monash Children’s Hospital and in community settings. This Unit currently delivers the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Connect (FASDConnect) program and in the New Year will lead the Pathway to Good Health (PTGH) initiative for Southern Melbourne area (Greater Dandenong, Cardinia and Casey LGAs).   

 

About the Pathway To Good Health (PTGH) Program 

The Southern Melbourne PTGH program is a new partnership between the Monash Health Developmental and Community Paediatric Unit and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. As one of the seventeen PTGH services statewide, it will facilitate health screening, assessment, referral and health planning for children in care. The service also seeks to improve system integration between health and child protection systems and ensure that children are linked with the right intervention service to support continuity of care. 

 

About the Role 

The role encompasses a broad range of administrative activities including administration of medical records, administration of meetings and liaising with families and professionals to ensure timely response to enquiries. The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in enabling the team’s activities, resolving administrative issues and proactively working to optimise systems and processes. The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for maintaining the Pathway To Good Health database, ensuring patient information and clinical activity reporting is up-to-date, thereby enabling timely and accurate reporting to the Department of Health.

  • Experience in data entry and general administration
