About Us 

Monash Children’s Complex Care Program is funded by and coordinated in collaboration with the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Complex Care Hub. The Monash Children's (MC) Complex Care service supports and coordinates care needs and requirements for families with babies/ children with complex medical/ nursing needs who require ongoing medical intervention beyond a hospital admission. 

  

About the Role 

We are now looking for a highly motivated and experienced Administration Officer to join this passionate and specialised service to provide day to day administrative support to the Complex Care team. Your specific responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Providing high quality customer related service, and varied office, administration and clerical duties 
  • Maintaining comprehensive departmental databases 

  • Ensuring accurate compilation of data to enable issuing of monthly invoices to both Internal and External stakeholders 

  • Supporting the Team Leader and broader Complex Care team in the development, quality enhancement and evaluation of Complex Care services. 

  • Assuming responsibility for relevant administrative portfolios as directed by the Team Leader/Operational Manager 

  • Assisting team members with computer related issues, data entry and minute taking 

  • Monitoring team movement as well as keeping record of equipment ins and outs 

  • Stock maintenance and ordering 

  • Fleet vehicle maintenance and use as required 

  

About You  

Through your previous experience, you can demonstrate: 

  • Proficient computer skills, using Microsoft (Windows and Office including Excel) and other hospital based reporting programs, such as iPM, EMR, SMR and HMS. 

  • Demonstrated accountability for providing high quality service 

  • Proven ability to apply excellent critical thinking skills 

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills to effectively assist with family/ staff enquiries 

  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and efficient office processes to ensure best practice 

You are a dedicated professional and can demonstrate initiative and sound judgement in both decision-making and work planning. Previous experience in a hospital setting will be highly regarded and experience with hospital based reporting systems is highly desirable.
