We are seeking a motivated, multi tasker who has outstanding customer service skills and clerical skills to join our team!

  • Working in a busy team environment, the Administration team prodices effiective clerical support to the wider team.
  • This is a permanent Part Time, 4 days per week (64hrs p/f) position, working across several Monash Health sites.

 

About the Role

You ideally would also be available to take on extra shifts to cover leave. The admin assistant is to create an excellent first impression of Monash Health by providing a friendly, courteous and professional greeting to all visitors to the Diabetes unit either by telephone or in person, and to support them in relation to the purpose for their contact and/or visit. Monash Diabetes Administration Assistants undertake both on-site and off-site admin duties covering several Monash Health sites at Dandenong, Monash, Cranbourne, Moorabbin as well as other sites at Pakenham Community, Koo Wee Rup Regional Hospital, Berwick Healthcare and Monash Link Community. The core business is Diabetes Outpatient clinics as well as private consulting suites at Dandenong. Key result areas:

  • Provide a friendly, courteous and professional greeting and support to all visitors/patients  
  • Answer and assist incoming callers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times 2 Ensure appropriate standard of presentation and maintenance of reception area 
  • Administrative support to the Administration Manager and medical employee as appropriate Provide a high standard of data accuracy and data entry for both public and private clinics on behalf of Monash Diabetes 

 

About You

Technical skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Demonstrated high level computer knowledge and proficiency in software programs used at Monash Health Diabetes eg Word, Excel, iPM (desirable)
  • Time management skills including capacity to prioritise effectively to meet the requirements of the position
  • Undertakes responsibility for work performed with a substantial level of accountability and responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience in health service administration
  • Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
  • Proven excellent customer service skills
  • Adaptable to change with processes and technical systems

  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Display a high level of customer service at all times
  • Ability to function calmly, systemically and efficiently with several streams of concurrent activity
