Administrative Officer - Monash Lung, Sleep, Allergy & Immunology (MLSAI) 

Full-time & Part-time opportunities available 

 

About the Role 

Monash Health is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Administrators to join the MLSAI Outpatient Services team. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional and welcoming experience while supporting a busy specialist service. 

You’ll play a key role across multiple service areas including Specialist Outpatients, Sleep Centre, and Respiratory Lab. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service via phone and face-to-face interactions
  • Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently
  • Book and coordinate patient appointments from referrals and enquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records and databases
  • Process billing, Medicare claims, and payments (EFTPOS/credit card)
  • Prepare and manage electronic patient files
  • Provide administrative support to clinical and departmental staff
  • Respond to patient and referrer enquiries with clarity and professionalism
  • Ensure reception and clinical spaces are maintained to a high standard 

 

About You 

You are a proactive and organised administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys helping people. You will bring: 

  • Strong customer service and reception experience
  • Excellent phone manner and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced setting
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and databases
  • Professionalism, discretion, and strong work ethic
  • Experience in healthcare or medical administration (desirable but not essential)
