About the Victorian Heart Hospital
The Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) is Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital, nearing completion, and is set to provide comprehensive, high-quality cardiac care in a unique, patient-centred environment. As part of the Monash Health network, VHH offers a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac services, including cardiac theatres, catheterisation laboratories, and specialist consultations. Our new Cardiac Ambulatory Services will provide an integrated approach to patient care with a focus on high-quality outcomes and reduced duplication, supporting the patient journey from referral to treatment.

- Location: Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) & Satellite Sites (Casey, Dandenong, Monash Children’s, Frankston)
- Classification: HS2
- Reports to: Revenue Services Team Leader Hours: Monday to Friday, Business Hours (some evening clinics may apply)
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Revenue Services Administration Officer to join our Cardiac Ambulatory Services team. This pivotal role will support the billing and revenue processes at VHH and satellite sites, including Casey, Dandenong, Monash Children’s, and Frankston. As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing billing duties, patient inquiries, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. In this role, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the revenue services, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that our patients and stakeholders receive the highest level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform billing duties, including batching, receiving, and processing Medicare invoices.
- Follow up with debtors under supervision to ensure timely collections.
- Manage patient inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and healthcare policies, including privacy regulations and the Health Records Act.
- Support the Revenue Services Team Leader in reviewing and developing administrative processes, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to process improvement and service delivery.
- Efficiently manage multiple systems such as Cerner, NEXA, HealthTrack, iPM, and more.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Medical Terminology: Solid understanding of medical terminology to communicate effectively in a healthcare setting.
- Accounts/Finance (Desirable): Previous experience in accounts or finance is highly regarded.
- Experience with Patient Management Systems: Proficiency in EMR, iPM, SMR, Healthtrack, and Healthlink.
- Customer Service: Proven experience in providing outstanding customer service.
- Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
- Healthcare Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
