About The Role   

The position of Elective Services Phone Room Clerk is responsible for managing all phone calls to the 1800 ESS phone room. This includes updating data entry on IPM. The successful applicant/s will be the first point of contact within the ESS department and responsible for, but not limited to, successfully answering/transferring calls and updating patient contact information  

 

About You:

  • Provide a friendly, courteous and professional greeting and support to all consumers  
  • Ensure data entry is accurate and compliant with the DHHS Elective Surgery Access Policy  

  • Ensure appropriate standard of presentation and maintenance of working area  

  • Provide accurate and timely data entry of all information to meet the requirements of Preadmission and Elective Services  

  • Provide administrative support to Managers, Team Leaders and Liaison Nurses across the department as necessary  

  • Maintain currency of Preadmission and Elective Surgery terminology  

  • Maintain an understanding of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Elective Surgery guideline  

  • Be accountable for performance with regard to data accuracy and integrity
