About the Role 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person for a secretarial position based at Monash Audiology – Cranbourne and Clayton. This is a Part Time Ongoing 0.8 EFT position.

The position is responsible for general clerical duties relating to scheduling patient appointments,  processing patients for assessment and billing in the Medilink system, updating of patient details on the Patient administrative system (iPM) telephone enquiries, medical audio typing, report preparation, IPROC ordering and general administrative tasks. 

 

About You

Selection criteria:

  • Previous experience in an administration environment including experience in Medilink, Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows Internet explorer iPM & SMR. 

  • Medicare billing procedures and Medilink Professional appointment system (desirable) 

  • Process revenue and carry out daily banking reconciliation. 

  • Proactive, organised and can work autonomously 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Fundamental medical terminology knowledge (desirable) 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of tasks within and across a number of areas. 

  • Previous experience with report preparation, would be an advantage. 

Training will be available as required and access to continuing professional development, supervision and peer support is provided. 

The role is based at Monash Medical Centre – Clayton and Moorabbin and provides support to the additional Monash Audiology sites located at Monash Children’s Hospital and Cranbourne as required. 

  

Monash Audiology is located across several Monash Health sites:

  • Monash Medical Centre Clayton 

  • Monash Childrens Hospital Clayton 

  • Monash Medical Centre Moorabbin 

  • Cranbourne Integrated Care Centre, Cranbourne 

Monash Audiology provide diagnostic audiological assessments to children and adults patients of Monash Health and also provides a private service to a mainly paediatric population across South Eastern Melbourne and Victoria.
