About Monash Heart
The Heart Failure Service at the Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) is one of Victoria's largest and fastest-growing heart failure programs, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to approximately 2,000 patients annually. VHH is the largest cardiology service provider in Victoria, with over 270 staff across three sites delivering more than 80,000 episodes of cardiological care each year. Our inpatient heart failure team manages the full spectrum of disease -- from routine heart failure through to advanced heart failure and cardiogenic shock -- including patients supported by temporary mechanical circulatory support devices such as ECMO, Impella, and IABP. Our ambulatory program runs 12 weekly clinics, with capacity growing rapidly following our move to the purpose-built Victorian Heart Hospital at Clayton. VHH is actively engaged in investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical research through the Victorian Heart Institute (VHI) and the Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre.
About the Role
We are seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the Heart Failure Service at the Victorian Heart Hospital -- an ongoing fractional position (up to 0.7 FTE) commencing 1 July 2026 (or as negotiated). The role also carries expectations for research participation and, for candidates with an established academic pathway, concurrent application for a Monash University academic appointment is available and supported.
