About the Role

 

Join our team as an Allied Health Assistant Grade 3 on a part-time basis (0.4 EFT) two days per week at Monash Medical Centre. This exciting role will see you joining a high performing Social Work Department and will provide varied and challenging opportunities with support and will promote growth. You will be responsible for the provision of assistance to the Social Work team, patients and on occasion the broader Allied Health Team on the wards.

 

 

Performing work of a general nature under the delegation and supervision of Allied Health professionals, such as but not limited to, the following:

 

 

  • Work with direct supervision to implement therapeutic and related activities, in individual and group settings
  • Provide clinical assistance in completing service referrals and documentation in consultation with the team
  • Provide non-clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals including but not limited to administrative and resourcing tasks
  • Participate in/lead programs, processes and quality improvement activities
  • On occasion represent the Monash Medical Centre team at AHA group meetings

Qualification & licence requirements include:

 

 

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV (preferred) in Allied Health Assistance  
  • A Grade 3 AHA requires minimum 3 years’ experience (full time equivalent) a total of 5900 hours of AHA experience and Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance are required 
  • Relevant experience working as an AHA in a health care setting preferred  
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
