About the Role 

The Application Specialist is responsible for understanding the complexities, design, functionality and workflows of the Monash Health Specialist Clinics in EMR– referrals, scheduling, correspondence, orders, and clinical documentation. This role will have a key responsibility for engaging with the business and ensuring that the EMR meets the needs of Monash Health staff.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Delivery of design, build, and maintenance of Scheduling Appointment Book, Correspondence, and Scheduling orders in particular: 

  • Scheduling resources, books, templates, resource roles, resource list, flex rules, and code sets 

  • Correspondence templates and rules 

  • Orders, order entry fields and formats 

    • Support VINAH reporting 

    • Provide testing expertise for enhancements, issues, and maintenance of the EMR 

    • Create documentation relating to the workflows, testing, support, and maintenance of the EMR  

 

About You (Italics indicade desirable)

  • 3+ years' experience in healthcare and/or digital health 

  • Demonstrable experience in the use of digital healthcare systems 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training 

  • Current registration with a relevant professional body
