We are seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist leader to join our team as Assistant Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Moorabbin and Compounding Services. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity to lead pharmacy services at Moorabbin Hospital and the Cancer Services and Compounding portfolios.

 

About the Role

As part of our highly regarded Pharmacy Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Strategy and Business Development to oversee pharmacy operations at Moorabbin Hospital and lead strategic initiatives in Cancer Services and Compounding.

This role is ideal for a senior hospital pharmacist looking to expand their leadership impact in a supportive and progressive environment. You will manage day-to-day operations, support staff development, and contribute to service planning and innovation across your site and portfolios. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of clinical pharmacy services and operations at Moorabbin Hospital and the Compounding Service across all Monash Health sites.
  • Leadership of pharmacy staff and credentialing within Moorabbin Hospital and the Compounding and Cancer Services.
  • Governance and quality assurance for Cancer Services and Compounding portfolios.
  • Facilitation of staff meetings, continuing education, and research activities.

 

This role reports to a Deputy Director of Pharmacy and leads Pharmacy Team Leaders who manage teams of pharmacists and technicians.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Pharmacist
  • Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including in Oncology/Haematology and Compounding
  • Proven leadership or management experience
