ABOUT JESSIE MCPHERSON PRIVATE HOSPITAL

 

Jessie McPherson Private Hospital (JMPH) is a 150 bed tertiary level Private Hospital which has been co-located at Monash Medical Centre Clayton since 1987.   Our co-location with Monash Health provides a unique opportunity for access to world-renowned research and teaching facilities across core specialties including Neurosurgery, Gastrosciences, Surgical, Maternity and Neonatal services

Jessie McPherson Private Hospital, as part of the Monash Health network, is also proud to be the private health partner at the Victorian Heart Hospital, Australia’s first dedicated cardiac hospital.  This cardiac service is known as Monash Heart Private (operated by Jessie McPherson Private Hospital) and provides a centre of excellence in cardiovascular care, research and education in partnership with Monash Health, the Victorian Government and Monash University.

 

 

About the Role

The Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) is a senior clinical leadership role responsible for, clinical and business outcomes, bed management, and, patient access and flow. The management of site resources by the ADON ensures a high standard of service delivery. The ADON role models excellence and builds a positive culture, drives clinical excellence and ensures our vision of being recognised as a provider of exceptional patient care is upheld.

 

About You

You are a senior nurse with extensive experience in an acute setting.

  • You lead by example and demonstrate at all times our vision, purpose and values.
  • You are passionate about patient centred care and driving excellence.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment, have excellent organisational, problem solving and time management skills, proven people and communication skills including relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussions.
  • You are business driven and understand the private health care industry.

 

Mandatory requirements for this role include:

  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and consent to ongoing registration checks via Monash Health Electronic Credentialing system
  • Extensive and recent clinical, managerial (at Associate Unit Manager level or higher) and leadership experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills in a private health care setting involving supervisory and management responsibilities.
  • Post graduate qualification studies in nursing leadership or management or working towards the same is desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements (desirable).
