About the Role:
Join our team as a Associate EMR Application Specialist – Care Delivery on a full time, fixed term (end date 30/06/2025), to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. Hybrid work is available for this role.
The Associate EMR Application Specialist – Care Delivery is responsible for understanding the complexities, design, functionality and workflows of the Monash Health PowerChart and FirstNet solutions. With a focus on EMR documentation (mPages, iView, Dyndoc etc), alerts, Orders and Results, this role will have a key responsibility for engaging with the business and ensuring that the EMR meets the needs of the Monash Health.
Key result areas

Delivery of design, build and testing of PowerChart and FirstNet applications, in particular:

Clinical documentation – mPages, patient lists, PowerForms, Dyndoc, iView

Orders and Results – OEF, Results Review, aliasing

EMR Enhancement initiatives
-

Support and maintain a safe, reliable and fit for purpose EMR solution
-
Support Inpatient and Emergency Workflows and understand integration and impacts to other areas of EMR

Advice on interoperability and integration with key external systems (such as iPM, Healthlink, HealthTrack, and wayfinding applications.)

Provide consultation, expertise, advice and leadership on necessary EMR system maintenance for compliance to Monash Health objectives, standards, policies and procedures

Understand current EMR design and liaise with stakeholders to ensure optimal clinician experience
-
Establish and maintain productive networks with internal and external partners and the vendor community.

Provide testing expertise for project testing cycles, enhancements, issues and maintenance of the EMR
-
Support change initiatives led by the change manager in conjunction with clinical informatics
-
Support go-live activities and transition to BAU for key projects
About Us:
The Monash Health EMR is supported by the Department of Digital Applications. This team support the Business as Usual (BAU) operations of the EMR (including EMR maintenance/updates and new enhancements) and encompasses the idea of continuous improvement, using the EMR in new and innovative ways to achieve excellent care for patients and clinicians.
The Digital Applications team works to maintain and improve the large ecosystem of different applications, platforms, products and interfaces across Monash Health.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Oracle Health build experience – Power Chart / Firstnet
Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licenses, memberships,

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare / digital health

Demonstrable experience in the use of digital healthcare systems

Current registration with a relevant professional body
