Jessie McPherson Private Hospital Maternity Unit is currently a 19-bed antenatal/postnatal unit with a 8 bed Special Care Nursery (SCN).   

Situated on the same site as Monash Health and Monash Children’s Hospital, we provide outstanding patient and family centred care in a tertiary facility.   

Our Level 3 SCN cares for those newborns that require extra care in their journey. 

 

About the Role 

If appointed to the Associate Midwifery Manager role you will:   

  • Assist and deputise the Maternity Services Unit Manager  

  • Be the leader you aspire to be with the support offered within the organisation  

  • Actively contribute to our organisational goals including a positive and safe culture  

  • Be part of a dynamic team  

  • Support other team leaders in mentoring and growing our midwives to deliver safe and excellent women centered care  

  

About You 

What you need:  

  • A Minimum of 3 years midwifery experience and passion about providing exceptional care to women and their families during pregnancy and Postnatal care  

  • Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHPRA)  

  • Embrace best practice models of care and exhibit leadership qualities  

  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong supportive and engaging style  

  • Be passionate about achieving high quality clinical outcomes  

  • Enjoy working in a diverse and ever changing environment  

  • Be willing to work full-time or part-time (at least 3 shifts per week) across a seven day rotating roster including night shifts
