Cardiac Theatre

With a range of Australian-first cardiac services, the Victorian Heart Hospital’s purpose-built cardiac theatres, cater for a large range of cardiac surgeries. Once fully operational, each year the heart hospital will provide 2000 open heart surgeries in a ground-breaking facility with advanced surgical capacity.

 

Associate Nurse Manager Cardiac Theatres

The Associate Nurse Manager will oversee and ensure high quality care across all aspects of perioperative care including staff rostered to procedures across both interventional floors. Working closely with the Nurse Manager and dedicated multidisciplinary Theatre team, you also bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Registered Nurse with Qualification of Post Graduate studies within this specialist highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership success within a Theatre environment
  • Strong desire to build and mentor a high performing team
  • Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia
  • Clear, articulate communicator with exceptional time management skills coupled with ability to deliver holistic patient centred cardiac care

On a personal level, you will demonstrate

  • role model of clinical excellence in nursing 
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to facilitate open influence others, troubleshoot, and resolve conflict
  • ability to engage with all stakeholders, coach, mentor and lead by example
  • ability to work independently as well as consult and collaborate with others to deliver outcomes
  • exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • proficient computer skills.

 

This is an Ongoing Part-Time (40 hours per fortnight - .5EFT) opportunity.
