Associate Nurse / Midwife Manager - Imaging Services

About the Role:  

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Nurse Manager to join the Monash Health Radiology team at Monash Medical Centre (MMC) and Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH).  
   

• This part-time position (0.4EFT) is based primarily at MMC and MCH (Clayton). Rostered on-call shifts are included. While rare, travel to other Monash Imaging sites may occasionally be required. 
   

This is a pivotal clinical and operational leadership role, offering an opportunity to lead and support an outstanding team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for adults and children requiring diagnostic scans and/or therapeutic interventional procedures. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. 

• Coordinate departmental nursing activities, including workload delegation, staff rostering, and operational efficiency. 

• Liaise with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders in the hospital (MMC and MCH) to facilitate timely access to high-quality care for patients and their families.   

• Coordinate delivery and support of evidence-based, high-quality nursing care. 

• Collaborate effectively with adult and paediatric patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal health outcomes. 

• Lead by example, consistently role-modelling clinical excellence and professional conduct. 

• Foster a culture of family-centred care, safety, and best practice standards. 

• Promote professional growth and clinical expertise through ongoing education and networking with local and external colleagues.

Monash Health Imaging is Victoria’s largest public radiology provider, dedicated to providing patient-focused services to the people of South East Melbourne and surrounding communities.   

Our Imaging sites work across a full range of modalities including MRI, PET/CT, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, Interventional Angiography and Bone Densitometry.  

The Monash Children’s Hospital encompasses the latest technology, including MRI, Mock MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, robotic fluoroscopy, RIS, and PACS.  The department includes a state-of-the-art patient experience system to facilitate a great environment for our Children of today and tomorrow.  Other modalities, including CT and Nuclear Medicine, will be shared with the adult hospital.

• Clinical competence in the Radiology Nursing role by participating in and contributing to diagnostic and interventional radiology (IR) procedure, clinical duties and workflows

• Willingness to work across a rotating roster, including on-call responsibilities

What You’ll Need: 

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse 

• Relevant post-registration qualifications and clinical experience in an acute or specialised setting 

• Proven leadership experience in an acute clinical setting 

• Demonstrated excellence in organisation, time management, and problem-solving
