About the Role:

Join our team as an Associate Nurse Manager on a part-time, fixed-term contract until 11th May 2025, to work in South West 2 at Dandenong Hospital.

 

We are seeking an Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) with proven acute Hospital Training in General Medicine with leadership and management experience to join our team and deliver patient care.  

 

We encourage engagement in professional development activities including, but not limited to undertaking Post Graduate Certificates with application to Medical / Surgical Transition into Specialty Practice.  On-site education and access to Clinical Educators is available. 

 

Part Time fixed term of 0.5 EFT is sought, across a 24/7 rotating roster. 

 

About Us:

South West 2 is as an Acute General Medicine Unit seeking inspired, skilled and passionate General Medical Nurses' who would like to join our leadership team.   

 

As an Acute Medical Unit, South West 2 is responsible for the management of a wide range of illnesses including, but not limited to cardiac respiratory and renal conditions and is one of the multiple wards within Monash Health to have established a Ward Governance model.  Ward Governance is a method in which all members of the team, collaborate and direct care in consultation with the patients care goals and beliefs.  The team includes Nursing, Medical, Pharmacy and Allied Health.  Members not only focus on ensuring patient progress and plans, optimise safety and outcomes, but also remain vigilant to ever changing best practice guidelines and continuously adapt and innovate their care.  Under the governance team structure, Registered Nurses will be encouraged to communicate in harmony with Medical, Allied Health and Pharmacy leads on a daily basis. 

 

The Associate Nurse Manager position is an exciting and challenging one.  You will be a role model; delivering and supporting the delivery of evidence - based practice.  Responsibilities will be in the risk mitigation strategies you advocate; accountability for the professional development of yourself and others, while also supporting adequate skill mix to deliver outstanding care.  

 

About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

You have experience and proven ANM experience with previous exposure to Acute General Medicine in a hospital setting. You are a dedicated and compassionate nurse and leader who is enthusiastic about further developing your career and supporting those around you.

What You Need:

  • A relevant Post Graduate Qualification
  • Proven clinical experience in an acute General Medicine Hospital Ward highly desirable 
  • Proven clinical leadership in a hospital setting
  • A willingness to learn & grow your leadership capabilities through commitment to a portfolio
