About Ward 31 South - Neurosciences
Exciting opportunity exists for an dynamic and dedicated registered nurse for a part-time Associate Nurse Manager position with high career aspirations. Ward 31 South is an acute 26-bed Neurosurgical unit with 8 bed capacity in the High Dependency Unit. We provide care for a various range of neurology conditions, post neurosurgical interventions and major neurosurgical surgery.
About the Role
- The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) is a leadership role working closely with the Nurse Manager (NM).
- You will utilise your clinical expertise to deliver exceptional care to acute Neurosurgical and Vascular patients and their families/carers.
- Supported by the NM, the role will provide an opportunity for the development of management and leadership skills.
- You will conduct comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, transitions and evaluation of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with the patient and their family and carers.
- Ensure timely discharge planning and facilitate the consumer’s safe and effective transition from hospital to home by way of referral to appropriate health resources and services.
- Manage and be accountable for clinical and/or operational portfolios and projects.
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated clinical skills working with individuals who are in distress and face complex issues, and you have leadership experience as an In Charge or an Associate Nurse Manager. You are ready to take the next step in a clinical leadership role, with the support and encouragement of a great leadership team and your passion lies in working with acute Neurosurgical and vascular patients.

What you need:
- Post Graduate Qualification in Neurosciences or similar
- Demonstrated experience within an Inpatient Unit or similar
- Current AHPRA registration
- Relevant working rights/visa
- Employee level Working with Children Check
- Evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination
