About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated nurse to join our dynamic Theatres team as Associate Nurse Manager at the Victorian Heart Hospital.
- Associate Nurse Manager – Cardiac Theatres (Peri-Anaesthesia)
- Ongoing Full-Time | 76 hours per fortnight (1 EFT)
This pivotal role oversees anaesthetic services across the Victorian Heart Hospital, including the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories, MRI, and CT suites, as well as our state-of-the-art operating theatres.

Cardiac Theatres – Leading the Way in Cardiac Surgery
Home to a suite of purpose-built cardiac theatres, the Victorian Heart Hospital offers a range of Australian-first cardiac services. Once fully operational, the hospital will perform over 2,000 open-heart surgeries annually, supported by advanced surgical capabilities and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
About You:
You are a passionate and experienced nursing leader who brings:
- Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia
- Postgraduate qualifications in perioperative or anaesthetic nursing (highly desirable)
- Proven leadership experience within a theatre or perioperative environment
- A strong commitment to mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to influence, resolve conflict, and foster a culture of collaboration
- A proactive and organised approach, with excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in clinical systems and computer applications
- A commitment to delivering holistic, patient-centred cardiac care
- A role model for clinical excellence and professional integrity
