About the Role

Step into the role of Associate Nurse Manager in our Paediatric Emergency Department, in an ongoing part-time or Fixed Term part time Maternity leave position, to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. Yours is a clinical leadership role representing an integral link between the nursing and leadership team. You are approachable, articulate, and a mentor who leads by example.  You thrive supporting your nurses whilst working closely with the Nurse Manager to help drive the operational requirements and key performance indicators (KPI’s) of the department to deliver outstanding patient centred emergency care. 

 

About Us

The Clayton Paediatric Emergency Department provides tertiary emergency services for paediatric patients across Southeast Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. The department is responsible for over 40,000 emergency presentations annually. Once fully commissioned, it will host 38 treatment spaces, including three resuscitation cubicles, six isolation rooms and a twelve bed Paediatric short stay unit and serves as an entry point to our paediatric tertiary level care at the Monash Children’s Hospital with a diverse range of onsite specialist support services.  

 

About You

You are dedicated, driven and a leader in Paediatric Emergency Nursing. 

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Demonstrated leadership and senior nursing experience within and Emergency Department. Associate Nurse Manager experience is highly regarded

  • Post graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing or Leadership and Management (or working towards) is desirable

  • AHPRA Registration to practice Independently as a Registered Nurse
