Billings Administration Officer - Imaging
The Monash Imaging Billings Administration Officer is a key member of the team whose main functions include the collections for Monash Imaging diagnostic and procedural services. This includes MBS outpatient clinic, inpatient and outpatient imaging tests and procedures, and other related tasks. This is a multifaceted role requiring a range of administrative duties to be completed in a timely, accurate and positive manner. Reporting to the Monash Imaging Billings Supervisor, the incumbent will assist with data quality, efficient billing and reporting.

About Monash Imaging
Monash Health Imaging (MHI) provides diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services to Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong and Casey Hospitals, and Monash Children's Hospital. The Monash Health Imaging Department is fully integrated with Philips PACS/RIS and equipped with some of the latest medical imaging technology including eight MRI units, 13 CT units, more than 25 ultrasound units, six gamma cameras including three with SPECT CT, two PET/CTs, and three Angiography suties for Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Radiology. MHI also supports the Monash Biomedical Imaging site, one of the Monash University platforms that provides capacity and capability for human MRI and PET MRI research.
Together with the Monash University Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, MHI is currently the largest research department in Australia as measured by research funding and number of publications. The MHI services provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs approximately 600 EFT. The Imaging Program clearly defines its mission as delivery of leading edge, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, and research and education that meets the needs of our community and employees.
About You
You are highly organised, with great attention to detail, and you enjoy the variety that comes from a fast-paced administrative role where priorities can and do change. Multi-tasking comes naturally to you and in addition, you have well developed IT, written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in a Radiology billing is preferred, but not essential.
What You Need
To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Highly developed knowledge of data requirements, patient management systems workflows, & high data standards

Sound knowledge of RIS/IPM/EMR/HTRAK desirable

Proficient computer skills, strong understanding of Microsoft Office, confidence with a range of patient management systems and software packages

Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
-
Excellent organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to function autonomously in a self-directed manner

Familiar with medical terminology
-
Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Able to work autonomously and part of the wider Imaging team

Contribute towards fostering a culture that encourages positive working relationships and a safe workplace

Capacity to participate as an effective team member & assist in achieving the Imaging Programs key performance indicators.
