DIGITAL & INFORMATION DIVISION
The Digital & Information Division is a division at Monash Health under one executive sponsor (Chief Digital & Information Officer) that combines:
- Information Technology – provides support for the use and development of Information and Communications Technology across Monash Health.
- Program Management Office (PMO) – the objective of the PMO is to achieve consistently successful project execution that is efficient and well managed. The PMO serves as a centralised project management service for all projects related to Monash Health’s division of Information Development; and
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program – department responsible for the implementation of the organisation wide EMR which will allow clinicians to be able to access a patient’s clinical information in one place easily.
- Business Intelligence – department responsible for Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence.
This structure ensures a cohesive delivery of an Information System goal of moving towards a paperless health care environment while simultaneously supporting the priorities and needs of the health service. Designed well, ICT combined with the EMR will streamline clinical workflow and processes delivering improvement in quality and efficiency, with a high level of user experience improving patient care.
Job summary
Purpose
Monash Health’s Information Technology department supports a wide range of ICT services and equipment across our organisation. Information Technology also manages Central, our organisation-wide ITSM and CMDB tool. Configuring Central is key to simplification of processes in supporting our intention to modernise our infrastructure and processes, identify and managing cyber and operational risk, enabling Digital Transformation and trust in the way we deliver care.
In this ingoing role, the ITSM and CMDB Implementation Specialist will focus on technical enablement of our Central system (based on ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus). You will work closely with other Digital and Information teams to centralise data about Monash Health’s technology systems and tools. You will collaboratively architect, design and implement a robust and secure ITMS and CMDB. You will collaborate with stakeholders about data quality, process improvement and operational enablement in Central to solve business problems. Your contributions will be central to realising the future state of Monash Health’s ITSM and CMDB architecture while supporting other process and data‐oriented teams to meet strategic initiatives.
This position is based in Clayton, with the possibility of working across all Monash Health sites. The role reports to the Deputy Director of Information Technology. Please see attached Position Description for key result areas and skill requirements.
