The Victorian Heart Hospital is Australia’s first dedicated cardiac hospital providing innovative, holistic patient-centred care for all Victorians. An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic team within a leading tertiary cardiology service. We are seeking applicants across both Grade 2 and Grade 3 (CRM) classifications to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred cardiac diagnostic services. While this position is primarily seeking applicants at the Grade 2 or Grade 3 level, suitably entry level / Grade 1 applicants are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their skills, experience and potential for development.
The successful applicant will work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, performing a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations and contributing to the ongoing development of our service.
Join the VHH team as a Grade 2 Cardiac Physiologist. A Grade 2 Cardiac Physiologist is expected to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary within the non invasive physiology field with specialist skills in all aspects of non invasive physiology and the cardiac catheterisation laboratory. A Grade 2 Cardiac Physiologist should be completely competent in advanced cardiac catheterisation and participate as a member of the emergency on-call STEMI team.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong clinical skills, a patient focused approach, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant bachelors degree in Science or equivalent.
- Experience in non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostics.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to quality patient care and ongoing professional development.
Join the VHH team as a Grade 3 CRM Cardiac Physiologist. This role involves advanced clinical practice within a leading cardiology service, providing expertise across a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations and contributing to service development, quality improvement, education, and mentoring of junior staff. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, advanced technical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient centred care. As a Grade 3 Cardiac Physiologist, you will provide advanced clinical expertise within the Cardiac Rhythm Management service, supporting patients undergoing electrophysiology (EP) procedures and management of cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, ICDs and CRT devices.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant bachelors degree qualification in Science or equivalent.
- Significant experience in cardiac diagnostic testing and advanced cardiac investigations.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and service improvement experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
