About the Role
Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for education, mentoring and developing the next generation of trauma-informed practitioners?
South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) is seeking a Clinical Educator to lead orientation, education and capability development for Social Work Counsellor Advocates, with a particular focus on supporting early career clinicians. Working closely with the Manager Clinical Support and Development, you will play a pivotal role in building workforce capability through the design, delivery and evaluation of high-quality education programs that promote safe, evidence-based and recovery-oriented practice.
In this role you will:
- Lead orientation and onboarding programs for new Social Work Counsellor Advocates.
- Design, deliver and evaluate trauma-informed education and professional development initiatives.
- Provide clinical education, coaching and on-the-job learning to support early career Social Workers.
- Identify workforce learning needs and develop education strategies to strengthen clinical capability.
- Support clinicians to build expertise in working with children, young people, adults and families impacted by sexual assault and family violence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary leaders to foster a culture of continuous learning, reflective practice and clinical excellence.
- Contribute to quality improvement, workforce development and evidence-informed practice across SECASA.
This is a part time (0.8 EFT), ongoing position.
About SECASA
SECASA (South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence) is a specialist service within Monash Health providing therapeutic support to people who have experienced sexual assault and family violence. Our multidisciplinary team delivers trauma-informed, person-centred care across prevention, early intervention, counselling, advocacy and therapeutic services. We work alongside consumers, families and partner agencies to promote recovery, healing and safety while supporting our workforce through ongoing learning and professional development.

About You
You are an experienced Social Worker who enjoys supporting others to learn, grow and build confidence in their practice. You understand that quality clinical education strengthens outcomes for both clinicians and the people they support. You will bring:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Extensive experience working with people impacted by sexual assault, family violence and trauma.
- Demonstrated experience delivering clinical education, supervision, mentoring or workforce development.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to fostering psychologically safe learning environments.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating education or quality improvement initiatives.
