About the Role:

We are excited to share this opportunity to join our team to have a taste of the Allied Health Graduate Program in a Grade 4 Clinical Educator role. We are offering this as a part-time ongoing permanent role (0.6FTE) with an opportunity to pick up an additional 0.4FTE for a fixed term period (12-18 months). This role is set to commence in February 2025.

In this newly created clinical education position, you will work closely with the Allied Health Mental Health leadership team, the Occupational Therapy Discipline Seniors, Allied Health Education Leads, Allied Health Managers and Directors. You will ensure the provision of effective training and development of graduate and early career Occupational therapy clinicians in the Mental Health Allied Health Program.

 

What you bring:

You have been developing your clinical, education, project management and quality improvement skills or you are an accomplished Occupational Therapy professional with a drive to teach others in your profession; either way, you are ready to take this next step in your career.

You Are Also:    

  • Committed to a leadership & mentoring role in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated extensive specialist skills and knowledge, and experience in using occupation therapeutically to support the emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual well-being of consumers and their families.
  • Committed to delivering patient centred care & advocacy in line with organisational and professional practice standards   
  • Enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively

What You Need: 

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapist or Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent
  • Current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy, with no restrictions.
  • Minimum ten years’ experience in Mental Health or extensive experience in related area of occupational therapy practice
  • Qualification in education, leadership or project management
