About the Role
Are you an experienced Lymphoedema Therapist with proven team leadership skills and a passion for improving the lives of people living with a chronic conditions?
If so, then a fantastic opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Allied Health professional (Grade 4 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist) to join the Monash Health Lymphoedema Services as their Team Leader on a part-time ongoing basis (0.50 EFT / 38 hours per fortnight). Based at Moorabbin, Casey and Cranbourne Community Hospitals, however travel to any Monash Health site may be required.
In this role, you will be recognised as a clinical expert, driving the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across Lymphoedema Services. You’ll lead clinical research, contribute to clinical education, and enhance operational effectiveness, all while building strong partnerships within and outside of Monash Health. This role is key to delivering expert lymphoedema care, primarily in the outpatient setting.

The Monash Health Lymphoedema Service, part of the Physiotherapy Department, is a dynamic team made up of dedicated, highly skilled Allied Health clinicians. You will lead this well-integrated team with an emphasis around positive culture and proactive management. About You
As a Grade 4 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, you will possess a strong patient-centred focus, well developed leadership and communication skills and bring a range of clinical experience. We are seeking applicants with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude. The ability to work autonomously is essential as is expert experience working with both acute and chronic lymphoedema patients.
To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:
- Extensive clinical experience in managing upper and lower limb lymphoedema
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills with experience in providing clinical education and staff supervision
- The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Ambition to grow your clinical and leadership skills and expand your knowledge
- Proactive and proven team oriented attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Mandatory Requirements of the role:
- Undergraduate Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy qualification with unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Significant clinical experience in the management of upper and lower limb lymphoedema
- Team Leadership experience
- Australasian Lymphology Association Level 1 and Level 2 Lymphoedema Training Courses, or the equivalent
- Relevant post-graduate qualification
