Step into a unique opportunity as a Clinical Midwife Consultant within Maternal Fetal Medicine at Monash Women’s, based at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
This Part Time, ongoing role offers the chance to work at the forefront of complex pregnancy care, where your advanced clinical skills and leadership will directly impact outcomes for women and their families.

As a Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) within the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) service, you will play a vital role in supporting clinical excellence, coordinating specialised care, and enhancing the patient journey for women with complex maternal and fetal needs.
This is more than a clinical role — it’s an opportunity to lead, influence and shape care delivery within a highly specialised, multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role
Working closely with the Manager and Obstetric team, you will:
• Lead and coordinate daily operations within the MFM service
• Ensure efficient and timely triage, bookings and clinic flow
• Coordinate midwifery care within the Amber MFM clinic
• Manage the Casey MFM clinic (Tuesdays)
• Build and maintain strong multidisciplinary relationships
• Support best practice care delivery for women with complex conditions
You will be a key point of connection across teams, ensuring care is seamless, responsive and patient-centred.
About Us
Monash Women’s at Monash Medical Centre Clayton provides comprehensive maternity care across the full spectrum — from low-risk pregnancies to highly complex maternal and fetal conditions.
The Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit (Amber Team) is a specialised service within Perinatal Services, delivering expert care to women with complex medical and fetal needs.
Our midwives provide advanced antenatal case management, specialist assessments, and procedural support — working closely with fetal surveillance, diagnostic services and multidisciplinary medical teams.
We are proud to work within a team-based model of care, delivering consistency, compassion and continuity for every woman and family we support.
About You
You are a highly skilled and motivated midwife with a passion for complex pregnancy care and clinical leadership.
You will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in pregnancy care clinics
• A strong commitment to women with complex maternal and fetal conditions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in fetal surveillance or diagnostic units (desirable)
• Flexibility to work across sites, including Casey MFM clinic
