About the Role
Join our team as a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Registrar in a part time 0.2EFT, fixed term position for 3 years, working out of the Children's Cancer Centre at Monash Children's Hospital.
 
We guarantee that no two days will be the same.
In this position, the Clinical Neuropsychologist/Registrar will work closely with the Children's Cancer Centre medical, nursing, allied health and clinical research staff to ensure the provision of coordinated, safe and effective care for children undergoing treatment for cancer. The Clinical Neuropsychologist will play an integral role in providing evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations with a wide range of paediatric patients engaging in clinical trials.
 
About Us
The Children’s Cancer Centre, is located within Monash Children’s Hospital, is one of two centres in Victoria providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary care to children and young people diagnosed with a wide range of oncological and serious haematological conditions. The CCC aims to provide exemplary care for our paediatric oncology and haematology cohort and is involved in a diverse range of research opportunities, including; randomised controlled trials, patient registries, biological studies and an established biobank, focusing on providing these patients with a broad range of treatment options through a variety of domestic and international clinical trials and research projects.
 
About You
You are an enthusiastic Clinical Neuropsychologist/Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar with commitment to evidence-based assessment and evaluation of children and young people.You have commitment to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision.
 
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
  • Knowledge and skills in providing evidence-based neuropsychological assessments, reports and formulation 
  • Knowledge and/or experience in providing neuropsychological assessments for children and young people with neurological conditions 
  • Experience conducting assessments for clinical trials (desirable but not required)
In addition:
 
You will: 

  • Have a Master or Doctorate of Psychology
  • Hold current general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and consent to ongoing registration checks via Monash Health’s electronic credentialing systems
  • Hold or working toward endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Undertake current and ongoing employment screening, including but not limited to, National Police Check, employee Working with Children Check (WWC) and where relevant Aged Care Worker Screening, and as required National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening
