Monash Health is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced nurse to develop specialised skills and knowledge in the care of bariatric and clinical nutrition patients.

Working in a multi-disciplinary team this role is actively engaged in patient support, education and follow up care associated with Parenteral Nutrition and home IV hydration patients. This is a part-time, ongoing role.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Nutrition is responsible for: 

  • Attending and assisting in the organisation and co-ordination of Bariatric and Clinical Nutrition Outpatient Clinics 
  • Communicate/Liaise with Specialist Consulting Clinic Department to contact patients from waitlist. 
  • Liaise with the  multidisciplinary team regarding care and management of patients 
  • Perform Body Composition Testing, including organising DEXA Scans to be completed in Diagnostic Imaging 
  • Data management and maintenance of records

You have been developing your management and leadership skills and ready to take on a new and unique challenge in the area of bariatric and clinical nutrition care. What You Need: 

  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience 
  • Experience in TPN administration is desirable 
  • Current AHPRA registration 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
