About the Role

Paediatric Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Stomal Therapy, Wound Care & Urology - Fixed Term Parental Leave Relief positions

Seeking applications from experienced and enthusiatic nurse leaders to backfill parental leave within the Paediatric Stomal Therapy Service at Moansh Chldren's Hospital,  

- 0.8EFT commencing 3rd February to  3rd January 2026

- 0.1EFT commencing 3rd March 2025 to 28th February 2026.

This role is pivotal to support the current paediatric service requirements and maintain a specialised paediatric stoma service for the neonatal and paediatric demographic at Monash Health, providing clinical care for the specialist nature of service delivery required for these patient groups. Fractional EFT/ job share will be considered.

About You 

You are an experienced and enthusiastic nurse leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. Paediatric Stomal Therapy, Wound Care and Urology CNC is a Senior Nursing role across Monash Children’s who is responsible for paediatric stoma, wound management and urology reviews and the coordination and education for paediatric patients throughout the continuum of care. The Paediatric Stomal Therapy, Wound Care and Urology CNC is an active member of the multidisciplinary team and contributes expertise to patient care by engaging key stakeholders in all stages of the patient journey and will work across the entire continuum of care including specialist clinics, pre admission clinics and the inpatient units. 

In addition to this, you will also have : 

  • Extensive recent and relevant clinical experience in Paediatric Stomal therapy, wound care and urology nursing demonstrating appropriate competencies and skills, inclusive of inpatient, outpatient, home and community care 

  • Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking, problem solving skills and evidence based practice in the provision of care in Paediatric Stomal therapy, wound care, paediatric urology and pressure injury advice, including those children with complex care needs 

  • Certificate of Stomal Therapy 

  • Qualifications in Wound Care Management and Health Education 

  • Post Graduate qualifications in Paediatric Nursing desirable
