About the Role:

 

Join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant on an ongoing, full time basis to work in the Gynaecology Service within Monash Women’s, based at MMC Clayton

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager - Women’s- Clayton and Sandringham, the role will work in partnership with the Director of Gynaecology to monitor clinical outcomes, drive quality and safety initiatives and lead change, with the aim of improving service delivery, efficiency and coordination as well as positively contributing to Monash Health’s role as a leader in Women’s Health to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered, and optimal outcomes are achieved.

 

You will oversee the operations and governance of Gynaecology Services which hosts not only gynaecology, but urogynaecology, Gynae oncology, reproductive medicine and advanced laparoscopic surgery and will take the lead in ensuring relevant education is delivered to support service excellence.  We are a collaborative service, supporting safe care and best practice.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

 

  • Assess clinical practices using research and data analysis to improve health outcomes.
  • Use feedback and incident data to drive service improvements.
  • Lead the development of women's health guidelines and policies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, research, and staff development to maintain modern, effective services.
  • Manage and deliver service improvement projects.
  • Produce expert-level reports and presentations for executive audiences.
  • Apply innovative thinking to solve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care aligned with service goals.

 

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

 

  • Postgraduate qualification in Women’s Health or related specialty
  • Extensive nursing experience in Women’s Health
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Strong skills in negotiation, problem-solving, and analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of women’s health services, including applicable standards and clinical guidelines
  • Skilled in producing high-level written communications for senior leadership

 

You are a dedicated and professional leader who demonstrates sound initiative and judgment in your decision-making and work planning.  You are passionate about women’s health and have an intimate understanding of contemporary women’s health issues, a clear customer focus and a commitment to actively promoting family-centred care.
