About the Role 

A great opportunity for Registered Mental Health Nurses for a fixed term part-time role in the Education Quality Improvement and Innovation Program (EQIIP) as a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Educator. 

As a Clinical Nurse Educator working across the Monash Health Mental Health Program. By joining EQIIP, you will research, develop and present contemporary education across the Mental Health Program that promotes best practice nursing standards in clinical mental health care. You will be working both independently and across the broader Mental Health Program in collaboration our other Mental Health educators, providing support to Nursing Students, Graduate Nurses, Transitional Specialist Nurses, and our existing workforce, demonstrating, modeling and promoting best practice mental health standards of care. If you thrive on a challenge that comes from working to delivering new and innovative education strategies, knowing you are well supported by the leadership in the team and within the program, this maybe the next step for you, in your Mental Health Nursing career. In addition, you will:   

  • Support contemporary education that promotes best practice standards  
  • Provide clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert    
  • Demonstrate and promote expertise and best practice standards    
  • Help to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care within Monash Health   
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team   
  • Demonstrate agility and work as a change agent   

 

About You:  

  • You are a Clinical Nurse Educator looking for your next role or;  
  • You are a Registered Psychiatric Nurse who is ready to expand their career and work as a Clinical Nurse Educator  
  • Either way, you hold an academic Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing   
  • You can demonstrate a sound understanding of mental health clinical assessment and practice   
  • Have an understanding of different learning and teaching styles   
  • You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal   
  • You have digital capabilities with software devices and programs  
  • Your proven leadership qualities with a passion for education
