About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and capable Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Monash Health, Victoria’s largest public health service. In this role, you will:

Work within the PRECEPT/NaMES team, and provide education and support within the Mental Health Program.
A key component of this role is to design, develop and facilitate education and to provide clinical support to the mental health workforce, new staff members, graduates and undergraduate students within the Mental Health Program
This role is critical to delivering high-quality care and ensuring Monash Health continues to meet the evolving needs of our community.
About the Department / Program
PRECEPT is a team of Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Education Coordinators who sit with the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy (NaMES) team, we collaborate with Key Stakeholders within the Mental Health Program to plan, design, conduct and evaluate a range of education programs including workshops, inservices, webinars and coaching sessions. We ensure professional development opportunities for all levels of learner. The team provide regular clinical supervision to a number of clinical areas and contribute to the growth and development of learners via support of undergraduate students, graduates and post graduates
About You
You're someone who brings:
-
extensive experience in Mental Health Nursing (at least 5 years) with the ability to work across all areas of Monash Health

holds a post graduate diploma in psychiatric/mental health nursing or have completed a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program or a specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a Division 3 Nurse.

experience in providing education and training to nurses

the ability to work autonomously, and to liaise and work collaboratively within an inter-professional team

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, design, conduct and evaluate a range of education programs including workshops, inservices, webinars and coaching sessions

Plan and coordinate the education program for a clinical area in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and key stakeholders, ensuring professional development opportunities for all levels of learner

Provide regular clinical supervision to a clinical area

Contribute to the growth and development of learners via support of undergraduate students, graduates and post graduates
