About the role

 

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with demonstrated experience in education and perinatal and infant mental health care to join our Mental Health Program. This permanent part‑time position (0.5 EFT) is based at the Perinatal and Infant Care Service at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.

 

In this role, you will work as a Clinical Nurse Educator in close collaboration with the Monash Health Mental Health Program to enhance and support the professional development of our mental health nursing workforce, with a particular focus on specialist perinatal mental health nursing. You will play a key role in demonstrating, modelling, and promoting best‑practice standards in perinatal mental health nursing care.

About You

 

  • You are a Registered Psychiatric Nurse who has an experience in Education and preferably specialist skills and experience in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Care; 
  • You are a Qualified Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a Postgraduate qualification (minimum Diploma) in Mental Health Nursing  or has a Bachelor in Mental health Nursing 
  • You can demonstrate a sound understanding of mental health clinical assessment and practice 
  • Have an understanding of different learning and teaching styles 
  • You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • You have digital capabilities with software devices and programs 
  • Your proven leadership qualities with a passion for education 

 

What you need

 

Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships,

  • Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA registration
  • Qualified Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a minimum Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing  or has a Bachelor in Mental health Nursing 
  • Experience in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Nursing
