About the Role
Join our team as a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) in a part time, fixed term position until 30th June 2026 working out of Monash Children’s Hospital – Children’s Cancer Clinic at Clayton.
We guarantee that no two days will be the same.
In this position, the CRN will work closely with the Children's Cancer Centre medical and nursing staff to ensure the provision of coordinated, safe and effective care for children undergoing treatment for cancer. The CRN will also play an integral role in supporting staff and managing patient flow to optimise timeliness of care and access to support services.
About Us
The Children’s Cancer Centre, is located within Monash Children’s Hospital, and aims to provide exemplary care for our paediatric oncology and haematology cohort. The clinical trials team within the centre focuses on providing these patients with a broad range of treatment options through a variety of domestic and international clinical trials and research projects. The Children’s Cancer Centre is involved in a diverse range of research, including; randomised controlled trials, patient registries, biological studies and an established biobank.
About You
You are an experienced paediatric oncology nurse with advanced communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Patient-centred, high quality care to individuals presenting to the Children’s Cancer Clinic
- Be a role model and mentor, fostering collaboration and teamwork among like-minded colleagues
- Strong communication skills and critical thinking capability
- Excited to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance best practice standards within the program
In addition:
- Relevant Qualifications in Oncology, Haematology or paediatric nursing
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric oncology and research nursing is essential
- Experience in a senior nursing role
- Current AHPRA nursing registration
- Australian working rights
