We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) to join our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team at the Victorian Heart Hospital. This part-time, fixed-term (parental leave cover) role offers 20 hours per week (two 10-hour shifts).

Your Impact in This Role
As a Clinical Support Nurse, you will play a vital role in advancing nursing capability, strengthening clinical standards, and promoting evidence-based cardiac care. Working closely with the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy (NaMES) team, you will deliver high-quality education and mentorship to nurses at all stages of their careers.
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct clinical coaching and support to nursing staff across the Cardiac Catheter Labs.
- Facilitate professional development programs that promote best practice and patient safety.
- Support postgraduate learners and assist in clinical assessments.
- Contribute to education frameworks and targeted learning plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Promote an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and professional accountability.
- Work in partnership with nurse managers, educators, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellence in care delivery.
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse who demonstrates excellence in cardiac or high-dependency nursing and has a genuine passion for developing others. You bring clinical leadership, curiosity, and compassion to everything you do.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Recent experience in a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (GA recovery or anaesthetic skills desirable).
- A postgraduate qualification in nursing, education, or a relevant specialty (or working towards one).
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to guide nurses of all proficiency levels.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.

This position is based primarily at the Victorian Heart Hospital in Clayton — Australia’s premier cardiac care and research facility. Flexibility to work across other Monash Health sites may be required to support broader education programs.
