Our Journey   

To provide quality clinical education and training in a supportive learning environment for our Residental and Aged Care nurses. We are seeking an experienced nurse to join the team as a Clinical Support Nurse.   

  • Part time, ongoing position working 3 days per week  
  • Based primarily at our beautiful new facility; Boollam Boollam Aged Care and Chestnut Gardens

 

A Day in the Life of a Clinical Support Nurse 

This is a key role in supporting the growth and development of students, graduates and ongoing professional development of all clinical nursing staff. The Clinical Support Nurse provides education and training to advance clinical competency to enhance the care provided to consumers. You’ll be supported by our Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy (NaMES) team, working alongside other passionate clinical education colleagues. The Clinical Support Nurse is able to use their clinical expertise to teach best practice standards.  As you would expect, the Clinical Supprt Nurse should have a sound understanding of clinical care, Aged Care Standards and person-centred care. You will also demonstrate insight into different learning and teaching styles. The role demands clear and positive communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with all stakeholders.  This position is able to offer you great job satisfaction making a difference in the lives of others whilst this job makes a difference to yours.        

  

About You   

You are a highly skilled nurse with residental and aged care experience and a passion for education. You will have current NDIS and Police Checks and have completed or able to complete mandatory and targeted training associated with working in aged care settings. You have well-developed engagement, communication and collaboration skills.  You have experience in supporting learners and you can demonstrate the following;  

  • commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills   
  • ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team   
  • ability to show initiative and work independently when required   
  • ability to demonstrate residental and aged care nursing knowledge and skills 
  • committed to a leadership & mentoring role   
  • dedicated to the provision of quality care and Aged Care standards   
  • enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively   
  • excited to be accountable for and manage specific portfolios in our relentless pursuit of excellence
