About The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Trials and Research Manager to lead the operations of our cardiovascular clinical trials unit. This pivotal role will oversee all sponsored and investigator-initiated trials, ensuring excellence in trial conduct, regulatory compliance, and integration of research into clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead planning, coordination, budgeting, and oversight of clinical trials.

Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary research team.

Oversee ethics submissions, contract negotiations, and regulatory affairs.

Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice and national ethical standards.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including sponsors, CROs, and Monash University.

Drive strategic integration of research with clinical services and the Victorian Heart Institute.

Maintain financial accountability and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You are a seasoned research professional with:

A qualification as a Registered Nurse or Medical Scientist.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical research, preferably in cardiovascular or critical care.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Proven experience in budget and contract negotiation.
-
Current Good Clinical Practice certification.
-
A commitment to excellence, integrity, and patient-centred care.
Desirable qualifications include a Master’s degree with a research component and membership in a relevant professional association.
