About the Role: 
Join our team as a Clinical Trials Business Development Officer on a full time ongoing basis to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. 

  • Assist the Director of Research & Innovation and Head of Research Operations, as the first point of contact for industry partners and other external key stakeholders.

  • Provide project management for various research facilitation and business development activities under the direction of the Director of Research & Innovation including:

    • Maintaining a register of Collaborative and Research Industry Partners;
    • Administrative Support for the development of an organisational Clinical Trials Feasibility Process;
    • Coordinating an annual research events calendar and coordinating key research promotion activities including:
      • Regular inbound and outbound trade missions and delegations
      • Annual Research Report
      • Annual events including Research & Innovation Week, International Clinical Trials Day
      • Annual Emerging Research Fellowship ProgramCoordinating visits with Collaborative and Industry Partners
    • Contribute to other projects under the direction of Director of Research & Innovation and Head of Research Operations
    • Contribute to other activities as required to support and facilitate research at MH and across partners
    • Promote a team approach which fosters an inquisitive and improvement focused atmosphere.

This may include working from other Monash Health sites upon reasonable notice and the incumbent must hold a currrent Victorian Driver's licence.

 

About Us: 
The Research Strategy Program facilitates one of the largest health service research programs in Australia, with almost 1800 current studies underway, including over 600 clinical trials and a further 500 Quality Assurance activities annually.

The focus of the position is to support the Director of Research & Innovation in ensuring Monash Health leads clinical trials benchmarking processes at the national level and enhances Monash Health’s global profile.

This position is responsible for project management of the industry liaison and research facilitation projects including, but not limited to developing a sustainable clinical trials program, ensuring Monash Health is competitive with international trial locations, building on existing and emerging academic and industry partnerships, coordinating the Annual Research Report, Annual Research & Innovation Week and the Annual Emerging Research Fellowship Program.

 

About You:  
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: 

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree, preferably in science or health sciences

  • At least 3 years' work experience in administrative support, preferably in a health service or research environment.

  • High level administrative support skills in utilising the M365 suite.

  • High level time management skills to manage competing deadlines and complete work in accurate and organised manner.

  • High level customer service skills including in person, telephone and email communication.

 

Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships,  

  • Undergraduate degree, preferability in science or health sciences
  • Victorian Driver's licence 

  • Ability to work onsite from Monash Medical Centre Clayton and other sites upon reasonable request. This role requires the incumbent to work from site with some flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days a week around the in person events.
