About Monash Pathology
Monash Health is the largest public hospital network in Victoria and is affiliated to Monash University. The pathology department processes approximately 35,000 surgical biopsies, 8000 cytology specimens and approximately 150 perinatal autopsies each year.
The Department is staffed by 13.5 EFT Anatomical Pathologists and 4 Anatomical Pathology registrars.
About the Role
The current role will be a fixed term appointment (long service leave replacement for eight months (July 2025 to February 2026), with opportunities for the position to be a permanent ongoing role.
The successful applicant will provide comprehensive diagnostic services in Anatomical Pathology and Cytology. The candidate will be provided opportunities to subspecialise in a niche area of anatomical pathology.
The role will be a fixed term role (8 hrs / day, 3 day/week eg 24 hrs/week). Workdays during the week are flexible and can be negotiated.

What you need
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Working with Children's Certificate
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
- Specific qualifications ( FRCPA) through the Royal College of Pathologists, Australasia
- Previous experience in Anatomical Pathology is desirable
