Consultant – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, this role contributes to measurable DEIB outcomes across the organisation through partnership, insight and practical action.
You’ll work across workforce strategy, organisational development and cultural transformation initiatives to help embed inclusion into the way Monash Health leads, recruits, develops and supports its people.
This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, system-level change that supports a more inclusive employee experience. As the Consultant – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, you’ll partner with leaders across clinical and corporate environments to influence culture, strengthen inclusive leadership capability, and embed equitable practices into the employee experience.
This is a collaborative and influential role suited to someone who can work thoughtfully with data, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and navigate complexity with professionalism and care.
This is a full-time, ongoing role operating within a fixed hybrid working model. The position involves working across multiple Monash Health sites, with primary base locations at Kingston Centre and Monash Medical Centre. Flexible travel between sites is required to support collaboration, service delivery, and engagement across the organisation.
In This Role You Will

- Contribute to organisation-wide DEIB strategies, action plans and workforce priorities
- Analyse workforce, demographic and experience data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Design and deliver initiatives that improve inclusion, equity and belonging outcomes
- Partner with leaders to embed inclusive practices across recruitment, talent and leadership processes
- Facilitate engaging capability-building sessions and inclusive leadership programs
- Support governance reporting across Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP), Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Disability Action Plan (DAP) initiatives
- Provide strategic advice on equity, inclusion and organisational culture matters
- Build strong relationships across clinical, operational and corporate teams
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and subject matter experts
- Apply organisational development and change principles to transformation initiatives
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings strategic thinking, empathy and strong relationship-building skills, along with the ability to work with data and translate insights into action.

- Experience in DEIB, organisational development, HR, workforce strategy or related fields
- Experience contributing to systemic or organisation-wide inclusion initiatives
- Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience analysing workforce data and translating insights into action
- Ability to work effectively in complex environments, with support from colleagues and leaders
- Strong written communication and executive reporting capability
- A collaborative, thoughtful and solutions-focused approach
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, organisational psychology, business, management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

Experience within healthcare or other complex or highly regulated environments will be valued.
