Respiratory Consultant Community Assessment Response Team (CART)
- Working at Doveton site 67 Power Road Doveton
- Supported by administration staff who greet the client and book further appointments
- Supported by experienced clinic nurse who ensures all diagnostics and pathology results available for clinic and organise any follow up diagnostics and pathology required. Follows the client's journey through the clinic.
About the Role:
- Join our team as a Respiratory Consultant on a sessional basis Friday afternoons 1230 to 1630 (4.0hours)
- The role involves seeing respiratory patients, assessing their condition, prescribing medications
- Order any diagnostics and pathology as required
- Update the SMR clinic e-Note
- We are seeking a talented General Physican for our Respiratory Clinic, dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable individuals in our community who are living with comorbid chronic diseases
- Dictating clinic letters on the day of the clinic and reviewing and approving them in a timely manner
- This role is integral in supporting the client's experience with CART, operates from a person - centred care framework and aligns with the social model of health.
About Us
CART provides short term support and education to patients with chronic disease, and/or have complex psychosocial needs who frequently present to the hospital or are at risk of hospitalisation. The focus is on teaching patients to self-manage their condition to improve their outcomes and reduce avoidable presentations to hospital.

- Post Acute Care provides a short-term service for eligible clients, recently discharged from hospital or ED.
About You
You are a dynamic Respiratory Physician with an interest in Respiratory Disease and a genuine passion and interest in this unique opportunity:
- Proficient in managing Respiratory clients
- Strong customer service ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with an ability to liaise professionally with people at all levels
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Dedicated to best practice and quality care and an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principle
Essential:
- AHPRA Registration
- Fellowship with RACP
Desirable:
- Knowledge of HMS/Harrison, SMR, IPM and EMR
