About Monash Children’s Hospital

 

The Children’s Program provides high quality, equitable service to all children and adolescents. Operating as a single service across multiple inpatient and community sites, collaborative multidisciplinary teams working in an integrated model across the care continuum for children and their families, delivering exceptional care for future health outcomes. Volunteers and key partnerships, integrated into the clinical teams and in stand-alone services, will enhance the experience of patients, families and visitors accessing the service. About The Role 

 

The Team Leader role is a senior supervisory position responsible for overseeing a small team of clerical and admissions staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • initial system issue resolution, staff rostering, leave coverage, and recruitment.
  • responsible for ensuring all calls and admission requests are managed promptly, professionally, and communicated accurately across the health service.
  • managing admissions, transfers, and discharges in iPM, supervising reception and admissions areas,
  • and supporting the evaluation and implementation of new systems and process improvements aligned with Monash Health’s strategic goals.

 

About You

 

You have a broad administrative background with highly developed organisational skills, a high attention to detail and strong communication skills. Through your hard working and enthusiastic nature you have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and targets and can manage a high workload. Previous supervision or management experience preferred.

In the role of Team Leader you will work within busy team based environments providing efficient and effective administrative support.

You will also bring:

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • High level communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experienced leader in administration and customer service, with strong conflict resolution and team performance skills.
  • Digitally proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and report writing abilities.
  • Organised, self-driven, and able to prioritise in fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic thinker committed to continuous improvement and service excellence.
