As Deputy Program Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in advancing quality, safety, and patient experience across Monash Health Radiology. This is an opportunity to influence strategic direction, lead major clinical projects, and ensure the highest standards of care in one of Australia’s most complex health services. 

 

About the Role

What you’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as a key member of the Program Leadership team, supporting the Program Medical Director and stepping in during their absence. 

  • Drive a strong culture of quality and safety, including risk management, clinical indicator monitoring, and peer learning. 

  • Lead major clinical and redesign projects aligned with program objectives. 

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and innovation. 

  • Contribute to governance, accreditation, and strategic planning initiatives.

  • A program-wide commitment to quality and safety embedded in everyday practice. 

  • Effective leadership that enhances medical staff engagement and wellbeing. 

  • Delivery of strategic projects that improve patient experience and clinical outcomes. 

  • Strong partnerships with Monash University, RANZCR, and other key stakeholders. 

 

About You

What You Bring: 

  • Fellowship of RANZCR and registration as a specialist medical practitioner (or equivalent). 

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a complex healthcare environment. 

  • A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. 

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Health Services Management or Business (desirable).
