Monash Health is continuing on its journey of rolling out Electronic Medical Records (EMR) across its network. This next rollout will implement an end-to-end solution for our Maternity services. It will streamline the current hybrid workflows into a single integrated solution.
About the Role
The Design Lead - Women’s Health Acute and Ambulatory is responsible for understanding the complexities, functionality, and workflows of the Maternity solution, ensuring that the design of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) maternity module is appropriately tailored to the needs of maternity services at Monash Health. This integrated digital solution must meet the requirements of Maternity Services, including the EMR Maternity module, devices, integration, and Business Intelligence/reporting. In this role, you will engage closely with the business throughout the project to ensure the EMR meets the needs of the Maternity Department while maintaining standardization across all sites. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and development of EMR maternity solutions for both acute and ambulatory care, as well as overseeing data collection, system design, development, configuration, and testing.
About You
Skill and experience required:
- To be successful in this position, you should possess a well-rounded mix of skills in:
- Electronic Medical Records (Oracle Health) technology, healthcare knowledge, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation.
- Delivering a best-practice solution will require gathering input from experts, making informed design decisions, proactively planning change management, identifying and managing technical risks, and ensuring the solution transitions smoothly to business as usual (BAU).
- A critical aspect of the role is maintaining clear communication and detailed documentation to inform and consult with the robust clinical and digital governance structures at Monash Health.
