Build the Foundation for Digital Healthcare
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer to help build a new development platform designed to address real clinical and operational challenges using modern technologies and artificial intelligence.
Working within a small, innovative and driven team, you will establish the secure, reliable and scalable cloud foundations needed to deliver digital products for frontline staff and patients. You will own key platform capabilities, including cloud infrastructure, continuous integration and deployment, application programming interface management, observability, automation and platform reliability.

About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Platform Engineer to join our Innovation, Platforms and Partnerships team within the Digital and Information Division.
You will design, implement and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure and shared platform services that support the delivery of secure and reliable digital applications. Working closely with delivery, engineering, cybersecurity and technical teams, you will automate infrastructure and release processes, establish platform monitoring and reliability measures, and support safe and effective change.
You will also help manage environments, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity and cloud consumption, while maintaining clear technical documentation and appropriate governance.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative DevOps or platform engineer with strong Microsoft Azure capability, sound technical judgement and a focus on building reliable, secure and maintainable platforms.
You will bring:
- deep experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code
- strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Bicep
- experience designing and implementing application programming interface platforms
- knowledge of cloud security controls, including identity and access management, secrets management and network security
- experience building continuous integration and deployment pipelines and automated testing
- hands-on experience with telemetry, monitoring and alerting tools
- an understanding of privacy and data protection obligations for systems containing sensitive information
- the ability to communicate technical decisions and trade-offs and provide technical leadership.
- relevant tertiary qualifications in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related discipline, and/or significant relevant industry experience, are required.
- experience with Azure networking, healthcare integration, Microsoft Fabric, cloud cost management, disaster recovery, artificial intelligence-assisted development tools, or health and other regulated environments will be highly regarded.
