About the Role:
Join our team as a Dietitian Grade 2 - Monash Children's on a part-time time fixed-term basis (0.80 EFT / 60.8 hours per fortnight), working at the Monash Children’s Hospital. This position is fixed-term until 21 September 2025.
In this role you will provide nutritional management of medically complex children including in the paediatric intensive care unit (PICU), nephrology unit and acute feeding clinic. This includes comprehensive nutrition assessment and management of critically ill children with enteral and parenteral nutrition support being an integral part of treatment. Also including outpatient and same day (ie day unit for infusions and dialysis) nutrition management for nephrology patients. As well as providing nutritional management of other acute inpatients and outpatients including the multidisciplinary acute feeding clinic.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues across the service to foster clinical excellence and consistency of practice.
As part of an integrated nutrition and dietetics team, this role may be required to flexibly provide dietetic services to other units and teams within Monash Children’s Hospital.

We have Victoria’s largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide leading paediatric services in many areas including Rehabilitation & Oncology. Allied Health at Monash Children’s Hospital provides specialised services to paediatric patients across the continuum including inpatients, outpatients and via Hospital in the Home.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Hold a Dietitians Australia accredited dietetics degree or hold a Dietitians Australia mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand or have passed the Dietitians Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process
- Eligible for DA membership and Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status
- Experience in paediatric dietetics in the tertiary acute setting including nutrition support
- Experience in renal or critical care nutrition (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the paediatric setting
